In 2010 Davines' commitment to sustainability was further enhanced by a project developed to generate virtuous synergies between business and the environment, with concrete positive effects for the planet and salons: Sustainable Beauty Week : was born.
On their usual weekly closing day, the participating salons stay open to offer their clients haircuts and/or blow dry, and all proceeds, based on free donations, are given to socio-environmental projects as the creation and protection of forest areas, environmental upgrading, strengthen of communities through agriculture. The first Sustainable Beauty Day was held in Italy, US and France followed shortly while new editions of the project are ready to start as concrete demonstrations of the Sustainable Beauty virtuous cycle... This year the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation in El Salvador is the recipient of any and all donations that we raise. Watch the video on the right to get a feel for who they are.
